Blob said: I've never heard of Twitch TV
Kiriplant said: I attempted streaming late last year, just to see if my Internet + laptop could handle it. Result was fine, except for some visual lag spikes every few seconds. My upload speed's not so good, and laptop isn't powerful. =P But I do watch streams on Twitch, I've been watching a guy named Cosmo and a few other people practising the new Ocarina of Time any% speedrun route on and off all day. =P Beating OoT in roughly 25 minutes is nothing short of amazing.
Kerosanak said: I'm having some trouble with my 64 streams since Xsplit update. Also Guyver, xsplit works fine free, I'm using the free version. But me and @Harry were talking about streaming some Borderlands very soon together, so if anyone wants to watch that or has Borderlands on PC and wants to join in with us playing, just shoot me a PM and your Skype and the ball will get rolling. www.twitch.tv/Kerosanak
Kerosanak said: With the free version you can only stream windowed mode games now, one of the new things they did to nudge people into buying it. So you put the game in windowed mode and go to. Add Screen Region. Select your window, it will import the image and sound automatically as long as it's coming through your default windows speakers and then you're ready to broadcast,

Kerosanak said: Sound screwed up again I dunno why it's doing this specifically just for this program EDIT: Fixed it again.. Just a warning for anyone wanting to do streaming of things like 64 games and such. Apparently they don't agree with some sound cards with xsplit running at the same time, you need to use onboard audio.
Guyver said: Managed to quickly steam some Mass Effect 3 in windowed mode. I assume the way everyone else does is it by broadcasting a section of their screen, or is their a better way of doing it? Also curious as to what settings I should adjust for bit rate, frames per second and stuff like that. I was playing on my middle screen, had Xsplit running on another and had a browser window open the another. This gave me a live feed of the delay, there's a decent time gap between me playing at what is shown on Twitch.

Pay for xsplit sub and use the fullscreen mode I guess And for the stuff about settings I think that's more for personal preference, probably play around with it till it's comfortable for you, I think it's just a matter of bandwidth available for you. Delay will always be there though I believe.
