OpenCMA - Use Vita Content manager offline

Since its 2 days away from the AUS release of the PS Vita I thought I might as well make this thread since i'm sure alot of Vita users haven't even heard of OpenCMA before reading this thread.
OpenCMA basically lets you use the content manager when the Vita is offline without forcing you to update firmware or whatever it does.

Sorry but unfortunately the only guide I could currently find is horribly written so writing it here would still confuse you so I provided my sources instead.

This is handy. I travel around a lot and I'd rather not need to tether my phone (assuming I am at a place with signal) just to move content onto the device.

Looks like it is windows only for the moment. Is there even a mac version of CMA yet?

I don't like the idea of using no official Sony software with my Vita incase it uploads information to the software's creator for use in criminal activities, so I'll be using this cma.dl.playstation.net/... instad as it is official Vita to PC software that is made by Sony (The company, not @SONY )

So you're saying I shouldn't promote an alternative to an intrusive piece of software that forces you to have an open internet connection and scans your console for anything SCE deems "inappropriate" to make your console blacklist or block it even when it could be a simple video, music file etc?

Whatever dude. Again i'm not forcing you or anyone to use this all i'm doing is putting this here for anything who does want to use it. If i forced anyone to use this then sure you can complain otherwise like most people say "don't like it don't use it".

Works great but you still have to update your Vita's firmware to 1.61 before opencma can work.

Thanks for the information since my net is crap and dissconnects alot this is very helpful.
