Playstation Vita- 3G vs Wi-Fi version

If/when you guys are picking it up, what version would you guys pick up?

To me, I don't think I can justify spending the extra $100 when I got an iPhone that I can whip out that will probably do the job much faster.

Sure I can't do multiplayer/dlc on the go, but does that on a 3G connection anyways? :P
i will wait for it to go down in price before i even thought about 3G. To me it is really expensive for a handheld. i wouldn't fork out $420 at EB for it.
Im going wifi no questions asked. Then I don't have to worry about extra costs for data plans etc etc, plus if it as bad as it is on my iPhone then I am better off without it anyway.

$340 seems a good price for a neat looking hand held. But I might wait for the price to go down a little lower. I wish the games were cheaper :P
And a poll to vote:

;)
@Beta wheres, i'll wait for them to go down first?
I'll be getting the wi-fi version. Don't really feel the need to pay for a 3G connection, especially considering I'm pretty sure they're partnered with Vodafone.

they are not locked to vodafone. just comes with a voda sim so people are more likely to use them
the government can track my whereabouts with 3g
the need not know my business [Shifty]
Wifi. Waste of $100 for the 3G. Anytime I need the net ill tether to my iPhone. Hen you can actually use the full features, the 3G model doesn't let you do much over 3G.
Best of both worlds~ *_*

as in your getting both models ?
Yes, so I'll be on a never-ending winning streak.
Def more interested in the wifi model.
My phone can be a wifi hotspot, too easy.
Likewise. 3g plans here are terrible anyway.

Looking forward to next month :)

Sounds far more akin to a never-ending failing streak.

I really can't see myself paying $100 so that I can pay even more $$$ for a connection that doesn't compare to my home wifi. On the go connectivity could be useful but that hundred, for me, is better spent on some downloadable PSP titles. =)

How does that back touch screen thing handle in most games? Looks useless to me but I'm not sure.
Very well, imo. Not useless by a long mile.
If you have a 3G capable smartphone can't you just tether it to create a Wi-Fi connection for the Vita?
I'll be getting the 3G model for my wife, kids and myself... Yeah we'll probably never use it, especially considering one can quite easily "tether" the PlayStation Vita to just about any Android-powered smartphone, but I'd rather have the 3G there "just in case", than not buy the 3G model and regret it later.

Yes, you can.
Is there any justifiable reason to get the 3G...

If you don't have a smart phone that's on contract.
So apart from that, the 3G model is completely useless?
